We are a Residents' Association set up to protect Noctorum Field on the Wirral from the development of a large scale housing project which would impact hugely on the local natural environment and destroy a much valued and needed green space.
So we invite you to be part of our first campaign to retain Noctorum Field at the junction of Noctorum Road and Noctorum Lane as a “green oasis”.
The public consultation on the Wirral Local Plan ended on 6thApril 2020. Thank you to all those who submitted comments about Noctorum Field.
This public consultation (the Regulation 18 stage) informs the Council in preparing a final draft Wirral Local Plan. Comments received should appear on the consultation portal as the Council begins to analyse them.
The final draft Local Plan will be subject to a final public consultation (the Regulation 19 stage) expected in summer 2020.
After this the final Local Plan is submitted to the Planning Inspectorate for Examination in Public. The Secretary of State appoints an Independent Planning Inspector to examine the draft Local Plan. Public hearing sessions are held during this stage.
The Planning Inspector’s final report recommends whether the Council can adopt the Local Plan. Subsequently policies and proposals adopted in the Local Plan will have significant weight in the decision-making process. Full adoption follows later.
At present, the Noctorum Ridge area is not listed as a Conservation Area but it is something that many of our residents are interested in exploring. The link below gives you some information about what this entails. Please click the button below:
